WHY THIS 3rd RUNWAY ? | ||||||||||||
19) On September 30th, 2004, the third runway started operating, a fact that caused a COMPLETE DISASTER in Gavà Mar The Ricarda lagoon and the new third runway of the Barcelona airport can be observed in this picture. In the background, at a short distance straight ahead from this new runway: Gavà Mar
This new runway's operation entails abandoning the traditional operational system of the airport:
The new operating system requires that, when EAST configuration is applied (i.e. landings on the third runway - 07R), <planes fly over an area of Gavà Mar that had never been flown over before. This can be clearly seen in the image below:
In this other picture taken from the cabin of a plane that is preparing to land on the new third runway, it can be clearly observed how the plane is about to fly over Gavà Mar
The final result is that the planes fly over Gavà Mar at a low altitude causing a thunderous noise and a great feeling of danger
... As they approach the airport, the altitude is really minimal ...
and the noise is deafening ... These videos leave little room for doubt...
